Andrew Castrucci's Painting Class, Thursday, March 27, 2014

I got the chance to do Andrew's class again, I love his class. I always forget to add how long the poses are. This was about a two and half hour standing pose in a three hour class.

Artist David, I love how
he mixes mediums. The energy
in this is great.

catch him at his halfway point. That point
when an artist thinks the work is not working
for them. Love it.

you have to admit this has beauty.

Artist Andrew Castrucci Evening Class on Thursday, March 20, 2014

The hours before this class were so crazy and certainly affected my personal presentation, yet these artists still pulled out great work.

Well first about me:

My Mom had been hit by a car while she was not hurt to need to be in a hospital, I wanted to be sure she was okay. This meant I had to forfeit my afternoon class. Now I never cancel lightly, because I lose money I can not get back.
Then the traffic was annoying. The bus driver was trying to make up for lost time and ends up getting pulled over for spending. So it was becoming clear I was going to be late.
My phone died, so I thought. I could not call ahead. Turns out I need another new phone. My phone has just started powering down whenever it sees fit.
Finally, I make it to class and then I get sick.
In all my running around, I had forgotten to eat ALL DAY. I woke up at 5:30 am it was now 7:00 pm and I had only eaten once the day before. It hit me when I began to get lightheaded. This is not how I normally treat my body at all.
So I was determined to finish this class for the students. I had to shorten my poses and have the fan on high plus keep drinking cold water.

So with all this disruption this is the great work the students have done. This class focuses on the abstract, esp. using different materials to create the artwork.

Maura Sheehan's Painting Class at SVA February 12th & 19th

I have yet to work with a professor or artist I did not like or work well with. Artist and Professor Maura Sheehan is certainly one of my favs. I love the energy she brings to her class and shares with the students. I feel it shows in their work.

The following work is incomplete at the moment. The student were not due to be finished on my last day of posing. Hopefully after the break they will share their finished work with me.

The point of this class was capturing the Renaissance feel. Even though they are not finished, I still think you can get a feel for where the paintings are going.

Artist Kyveli

This is a piece Artist Kyveli, student at SVA-NYC, is working on. I love the color and scale. The energy of the body is great. When I looked at the composition, I felt I was seeing a soul transcend for 'room' in Life making it's what to another 'room' in Life. Life's Journey in frames of color, doors, hallways and rooms. The hallways are filled with their own depth of colorful experience and lessons. You can see the door, but not directly into either room, leaving mystery. I know my view is rather simple, but I am a simple person.

November 27, 2013 with Artist Nina in Professor Nancy Chunn Evening Class at SVA

The preceding are a set of painting for a collage worked by Artist Nina aka GreekChristiana. I was primarily there to model just for her. I hope to see how I fit into the finished project soon.
